Jay-Z’s “Where I’m From” Gives Behind-The-Scenes Look At Barclays Center Shows
I was lucky enough to attend one of Jay-Z’s history-making, sold out shows this fall, where he christened the Barclays Center. After having already seen Jay perform at least 7 times throughout the years, I realized there was something very different about what he brought to the stage that night in his home borough of Brooklyn (and from what I heard, most other nights of the series). There was an energy so dynamic and powerful that resonated through the entire arena. A sense of pride, history and inspiration that Jay gave out and the audience gave back…from the front of the stage to the top of the nose-bleed seats. It was special.
Now, Jay-Z has released his short documentary “Where I’m From”. The film gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the rapstar’s Barclays Center opening shows. Check it out:
